Surprise! Someone finally posted after all these years. Welcome back. check out THWUGA.net for a few good laughs. Daniel
this blog is only 6.5 years old. but yeah, still, a long time. amazing how social media (facebook, twitter) has come into play during that period.
haha! that freaked me out when this came up in my rss feed. with facebook, I guess no one needs to post arguments on here. and I killed my other blog also (five years was enough). I think the eight years beat us down.
does anybody read or post to this any more?

The new Counting Crows album "Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings" is available now!! You should go out immediately and buy it. So far I like it, but not as much as Hard Candy the first time I heard it, but more than Recovering the Satellites the first time I heard it. = ) P.S. Happy Birthday Sarah

For the African-American community, that path means embracing the burdens of our past without becoming victims of our past. It means continuing to insist on a full measure of justice in every aspect of American life. But it also means binding our particular grievances — for better health care and better schools and better jobs — to the larger aspirations of all Americans: the white woman struggling to break the glass ceiling, the white man who has been laid off, the immigrant trying to feed his family. And it means taking full responsibility for our own lives — by demanding more from our fathers, and spending more time with our children, and reading to them, and teaching them that while they may face challenges and discrimination in their own lives, they must never succumb to despair or cynicism; they must always believe that they can write their own destiny. You should listen to this whole 30 minute speech.

probably nobody reads this anymore. but I'm stumped - help me out. I realized today that Clinton is not trying to win the Democratic nomination. Unless I am completely unaware of something, it's impossible for her to win - she would need 65% of the remaining 1,003 delegates - including the remaining uncommitted superdelegates to reach 2,025 (or thereabouts, using NY Times numbers). On the other hand, it's fairly easy for her to NOT LOSE. A meager 45% of the remaining delegates will result in... neither candidate having 2,025. Then what?!?! P.S. Don't even say "what if they seat the delegates in Florida and Michigan?" Sure, that adds another 350 delegates to the mix, but I don't hear anyone from the DNC offering to pay for the more that $50M in expenses to have those states vote again.

sometimes it's scary living by yourself. it's past midnight and the bathroom caddy in my shower just clattered to the ground in my tub on it's own accord. that was loud and SCARY. it sounded like a bookshelf collapsed. so crazy!
